New Breeds and Ideas

So, I've been thinking of some new breed ideas to spice up le roleplay. Of course I'll have some choices for site-wide mini-plots up soon! First, I want this taken care of.


Horses of Diomedes -but on here they'd be called Diomedes or something else- (Tox told me about them xD) I don't really know anything about them, so, I'll make stuff up.

-Canine teeth
-Carnivores
-Blah blah... suggestions?


Pondus
Means 'massive'

-Huge (I'd get a size chart thing later)
-Always have two-toned coats
-No pupils, but have irises
-Long manes
-Shorter tails
-Draft-like build



Atra
Means 'dark'

-Always darker colors
-No light colors anywhere on the body
-Two colors in the mane
-Hooves made out of some material stronger than diamond (o.o)
-Always markings around their legs
-Heavier body types, but not draft (Sort of like a friesian I suppose)



Hokay, and I had some other ideas that don't have much to do with actual breeds.

-Every herd must have a priest/priestess
*Must have at least one elemental power

-Festivals/Celebrations
Basically like a harvest moon festival thing or something. Well, not really, but that's kind of an example.


So, suggestions on anything!? I will eventually put the breeds up, but I want your opinions on priests/priestesses and festivals..

And to think- I'm currently in love with both XD yet i have settled with Ignis. I must learn to have patience before decided on such things as playing a cannon, eh?

Nope, no more gods xD They'd just be other breeds that Afriel created before/some after she created the gods. They'd be limited though.. so not a whole bunch of people would be able to play 'em. Maybe.. They just can't take away people from making an Ignis, Terrenus, or Aer.

:3 I can go into more details about the Diomedes if you want? Also I like these ideas. The priest/priestess would be good.. sort of a advisor in a way to the herd alpha, yeah?

Ah, I see now Liv ^^ Anyhow, I do think that, like Tox, the priest/priestesses are a good idea. An adviser of sorts, who could be a good help for the leaders, and the Festivals could have an advantage in many ways. Ones for breeds, would allow them to get together, and ones for them all, would make a prime time for the warring breeds to have one night of truth to interact.

Yeah. Having all the breeds together under a 'peace treaty' term for a festival would be quite intresting.

The Mares of Diomedes, also called the Mares of Thrace were four man-eating horses in Greek mythology. Magnificent, wild, and uncontrollable, they belonged to the giant Diomedes (not to be confused with Diomedes, son of Tydeus), king of Thrace, a son of Ares and Cyrene who lived on the shores of the Black Sea. Bucephalus, Alexander the Great's horse was said to be descended from these mares.

The mares would in all likelyness have sharp teeth to tear through flesh. Have great strength and speed to hunt.
Breeding for them however would be very rare and they wouldn't age normally.

You could switch it around and say they are Afriels personal messangers that are used to hunt mortal equines and also to protect her forest for her.

From what I'm aware of it's only mares. I've never heard of any stallions. Thus why it'd be difficult to breed with them. XD Chances are they would just try and eat the stallion.
