No "normal" markings, but does have a black circle on right shoulder with bright swirls around it. Two swirls twist around eachother up and over his whither, coming to an end at the tip of his left shoulder.
Eye Color:
His left eye is pitch black while his right, of which is covered by his forelock, is a bright blue.

He's schizophrenic, and he talks to another "horse" (only a figment of his imagination, of course) named Argos. He had a mate named Black Lightning, and he also had twins with her: Kianna and Seth. Lightning was the lead mare of the Atra herd, but only as rank and not the lead stallion's mate. Seth and Kianna were destined to take the throne, but Seth betrayed the family and their home went up in flames. Lightning went off with Kianna to assist the herd and Seth disappeared into the night. Blood Rising was cut off from his herd by a fallen, burning tree. While trying to find them, only a moment later he was struck by a falling boulder and knocked out deep within the forest. When he awoke and went back to his herdland, the only thing he saw was broken bodies - many of them unrecognizable. He believe's that Kianna and Lightning are dead, but doesn't know for sure and looks out for them anyways.
