Aleta Lerola I'm on fire burning at these mysteries
Strands of silver dangled about the elegant face, icy gaze moving over the emerald foiliage about her, flowers hanging from long vines clinging to tree branches not far from the ground. Soon enough the grand stone structure rose up and out of the treetops, and this quickened the maris' pace, long legs carrying the lithe figure towards the temple. The gentle clacking of hoof on marble echoed in the large building, light colored eyes quickly adjusting to the soft light filtering in from what spaces it could find inbetween the vines and trees poking in.
Nares expanded, pulling in the scents of equines that has passed through long ago. Not many could handle the emotions and... physical happenings of the temple. The gods and goddesses were not unlikely to visit the place. The priestess had had her own encounters with a deity or two, and they were more than pleasant. Of course it was uncomfortable at times, but truly glorious when your one true purpose was to serve them and those who followed them. To lead the others closer to the loving embraces of the deities. At least, those parts of the more.. aggressive ones. Still, darkness of spirit could still be celebrated.
Ocean hued bodice was turned, and moved towards something close in resemblance of an altar. Breathing steadily the femme brushed her muzzle along the edge, long ebony mane tangling in the thorny vines and flower stems framing it. Many a priest and priestess had come to pay homage to the gods and goddesses. It was something each and every one had to complete in their long lifetimes. It was something this particular priestess had already done many times. Anyone could see her as a very devoted follower of the holy ones.
Smiling slightly she pulled away, walking slowly through the temple, ears flicking about, making every sound known to her. Every movement, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, she made sure was seen. Every scent, no matter how faint, she smelled. This experience could never be taken lightly. To visit the temple that the deities had graced and blessed by merely appearing once even in a millenium was something not to be wasted. How could a devoted follower take it lightly? It was a miracle the holies had even thought to give their followers some place of worship, even when one could do such anywhere in the world.
Turning again, the bruja moved in front of the alter, bowing her head slightly, eyes closed, lips moving to let words flow from inside her. A prayer of peace offered up to each and every one of her beloved.

Many years had passed since the creation of him and his brothers, completely different from one another at the start and now even more so. They saw eye to eye on nothing, a deep hatred flowing for the others in each of their veins. Ferinus, Validus and Arquus, Afriel's creations to help her run the world turned bad. Or not so bad. Yes, he had a difference of opinion with his creator, but he wished to make up those differences so that he and her, at least, could stand tall together. His pelt so light is barely held colour, he walked the lands in calm spirits, flints falling one after the other. Often he had visited this place which had once been so grand, now near forgotten. But those few mortals that came here he knew. He knew their scent and looks and behaviour, their breed and families and homes. Including todays visitor. He could almost call her a regular payer of respects. Muscle flowed like water beneath his pelt, highlighting he did hold strength though not so much as his brothers, and he knew where he was going, though the journey took much less than it should despite him only walking. The world flew by as though he ran for it served him as much as he served it. Eyes of blue so pale gleamed as he looked on her from a distance, his nares inhaling her scent. Intoxicatingly beautiful. But she didn't like him and he understood not why. He would show her why the Aer were not weak. He stood a small distace from her now and the ground around the small area she stood dropped violently. How glad he was he could control each and every single element. She remained on a platform, trapped, the gap between where she stood and where she'd need to land too far to jump from standing, tha platform not large enough to get a running jump. Finally, he showed himself on the other side of the crevace and stared at her for a second in a scary silence, silver whip snapping his rump as he tossed his head. "Really, Aleta, you should be more careful who you dislike. Promise you will not run and I shall put the land back as it was and we will speak, otherwise i could just leave you there. What do you think?" He would not waste the sacred tongue on those who decided he was not worth liking. He had done nothing wrong to her so, surely, she had no right to dislike him. "You do realise the Aer are ot as weak as you believe and are more common for the powers of the gods?" he said it as if it were friendly conversation, but e was there to make a point. Usually soft and gentle, afterall, he had his bad side and it showed when he was angered by those who carried his breed's blood, no matter how diluted. Slowly the crater started to fill with water as he spoke, pacing, his body a beautiful work of art, not a fault upon it. The most handsome of the three brothers who made up for his lack of strength in his sociability and, usually, compassion. Aequus stopped still, facing her, his eyes void of emotion.

Of course Aleta was startled when the earth below and around her transformed, but she remained calm and looked up to see another equine. A god. Beautiful in every way except the betrayl of his creator. She knew it wasn't Ferinus.. and Validus was sure to never appear to her. He was too busy... too stubborn to appear to the likes of her, But why would Aequus.
"Really, Aleta, you should be more careful who you dislike. Promise you will not run and I shall put the land back as it was and we will speak, otherwise i could just leave you there. What do you think?" The mare nodded, "With my word as a priestess, I swear."
"You do realise the Aer are not as weak as you believe and are more common for the powers of the gods?" She eyed the water grinning. She could control it, but she left it be knowing the god could do anything he pleased with her. Everything but destroy her soul.. so maybe if he killed her, she had a chance. Then again, she would just not upset the god. Cooperation was key.
"I do realize mi'lord." She sighed, studying him. "I have not seen an Aer that was worthy of my liking. All the ones I have ever been aquainted with have been failures. Too weak to stand up for what they believe in." She stopped, eyes light and icy. "Is that answer enough mi'lord?" She was not being disrespectful. Aleta just wanted to leave. Seeing a god was not what she had expected today. Even though it was an honor, she felt... like she wasn't liking it.
Word Count: Eh... enough.
